A New Method for Communicating a Critical Message

I just returned from Charleston, SC this week, where I conducted a workshop at Heartbeat International’s annual conference entitled: Does Planned Parenthood Really Target Minorities?

During the workshop, I shared these startling statistics:

  • African Americans make up only 12.6% of the population, but received 30% of the 1.2 million abortions in 2008.
  • Abortion currently remains the leading cause of death for Black Americans, more than all other causes combined including AIDS, violent crimes, accidents, heart disease, and cancer.
  • In 2008, there were 289,072 Black deaths from all causes, excluding abortion.
  • Additionally, 360,000 Black unborn babies lost their lives to surgical abortion that same year, a rate of nearly 1,000 per day.
  • More than 16,000,000 Black babies have died as a result of abortion-on-demand since its legalization in 1973.

After sharing these troubling trends, my co-presenter Susan Enouen (Life Issues Institute’s lead researcher and Office Manager at Pregnancy Center East in Cinti., OH) and I shared Protecting Black Life’s newest research, which reveals that as many as 131 of the 165 (79%) of the abortion giant Planned Parenthood’s surgical abortion facilities are intentionally located within walking distance (2-mile radius) of high Black and Hispanic neighborhoods. With this level of targeting, it’s no wonder abortion remains the leading cause of death for Blacks and Hispanics.

Check out our ground-breaking, interactive, Google-functional map at the following LINK to see if Planned Parenthood is targeting a neighborhood near you and share the map with others.

Although I’ve shared a lot of statistics with you, bear in mind that beneath the crushing weight of these numbers lay butchered babies, wounded women, fractured families and damaged destinies and we’re working hard to change this!

Introducing our New Brochures

Education is a winning strategy to help reduce and eventually end abortion. In order to help get this critical information into as many hands, heads and hearts as possible, we’ve developed two new brochures to provide people with a new method for communicating this critical message.
TargetedOur new pamphlet entitled: Targeted for Abortion: Planned Parenthood’s Deadly Strategy for Minorities was created specifically for Pregnancy Center Educators. It is intended to serve as a guide to educating minority clients about how Planned Parenthood targets Blacks and Hispanics for abortion and is to be used in conjunction with our new What You Need to Know About Abortion, Planned Parenthood and the Black Community brochure. CLICK HERE to view and purchase pamphlets.

what_knowOur new brochure entitled: What You Need to Know About Abortion, Planned Parenthood and the Black Community is an informative brochure which explains how abortion is impacting the Black community and uses our solid research to expose Planned Parenthood’s targeting of minority neighborhoods. Although this brochure was developed with minority clients of Pregnancy Help Centers in mind, it can be used by anyone to help share this crucial information with those they come in contact with. My co-presenter Susan Enouen says, “It is likely that minority communities will continue to be devastated by the abortion industry until they become aware of this aggressive targeting of their unborn. Pregnancy Help Centers have a unique opportunity to bring this information to minority clients.” I couldn’t agree with her more.
